The Agenda is published 3 days prior to the date of the meeting and members of the public are welcome to attend. The Parish Council meeting starts with Public Time - this is when members of the public may address the Council on any issue, over which the Parish Council has an interest, power or obligation. The Parish Council's Standing Orders set out that a member of the public can speak once and that this is limited to no more than 5 minutes or longer at the discretion of the Chairman. Issues or comments made during Public Time may be refered to the Clerk where necessary to be noted or placed on the agenda of the next meeting so that there is no discussion at the meeting on a matter that has not been given prior notice of in the Agenda. However if the answer is known this will be given straight away unless a decision is required and this will be referred as above.
The draft minutes of Parish Council meetings are normally available on the website and notice boards within 7 days of the date of the meeting. They do not become valid minutes until approved as a correct record by the Parish Council at their next meeting.
