“While the threat on the UK mainland has not changed, our officers and staff will be maintaining close links with local communities and businesses to provide advice and reassurance, and encourage vigilance”.
They are urging people “to be alert, not alarmed. Vigilant behaviour by the public can disrupt attack planning and we would encourage people to report any suspicious behaviour to the police, who are here to support you.
If you suspect it, report it – by contacting Northamptonshire Police directly on 101 or by calling the Anti-Terrorist Hotline on 0800789321.
